Pet of the Week
Feb27, 2006
Hello! My name is Floyd, and if you can't tell by my picture what I am, I will help you out. I am a Plotthound mix. I am young, strong and big; been getting bigger since I have been here because they feed us well; plus I don't get lots of exercise, so my middle is filling out pretty quickly. I know what's running through your mind, but rest assured, I'm a male and a neutered one at that. The people here think that I was a hunting dog (and I won't tell otherwise). I do know how to sit when told, I try to do what I am asked, but being cooped up in the kennel is making it harder and harder to pay attention to what is asked of me, but if I had a big yard to run off some of my energy, I promise I will settle down and listen.
Plotthounds aren't just all beauty; we have brains too, and we are very loyal. I would love to have you come visit me at the Sheriff's Dept.; you can't miss me as I am in the very first kennel. If you want to find out more about me, you can call Pauline at 785-3463.
Don't forget to spay or neuter your pets. We can help if your dog is 45 lbs or over! Call Linda at 785-3325.
The Elk Country Animal Shelter is looking for an open or flat bed trailer to haul our (to be raffled off) 4-wheeler around on. We would like one in pretty good condition as we will be taking this to all our functions and parades throughout the year. A low price or tax deductible donation would be greatly appreciated. Call Dave if you have one you would like to offer - 785-3463
