MAY 31, 2008--The group of shelter volunteers at Hillman's "Blessing of the Bikes Rally" had lots of our young people. We directed people into the registration area, took pictures of bikers and bikes, and did other duties. We are one of three charities that will benefit from the event's proceeds.

Some of the Hillman Elementary School children (classes above) donated their Christmas spending money to buy gifts for the dogs at the shelter.
Total money collected was $154.11along with lots and lots of food, toys, Milk bones, collars, paper towels, bleach…..
The 3 classrooms were
Mrs. Margaret Selesky's - 2nd grade
Mr. Ray Selesky's - 6th grade
Mrs. Annette Trelfa's - 2nd grade

 

 

Allie Bartlett from Hillman, Michigan and a student at Hillman Elementary chose to donate items and money to the Animal Shelters in Alpena and Montmorency County instead of receiving gifts for her 9th birthday.
