PET of the WEEK

March 13, 2006

Hello, my name is Luna. I am part Golden Retriever and part something else, but I am going to keep that ³something else² a secret. I am still a youngster, somewhere between 8-12 months old. I was picked up off the streets and brought here to the Sheriff's Dept, very thin, scared and smelly as I haven't had a bath in a long time, maybe never; I can't remember.

I am very much a little lady (and I hate being smelly) and very soft on my feet. I like people a lot and would be great with a family with kids. I do need some schooling as no one has taught me anything, but I promise I will be a good student if you take the time to teach me.

I am starting to gain some weight, but I won't ever be a very big dog, maybe 40 lbs at the most. I think I am as tall as I will ever get as I don't have great big bones to grow into.

I heard a rumor that since the weather is getting a bit nicer I might be getting a bath this week, so I will be clean and ready for a brand new home. You can come meet me; I am the sweet one in Kennel #2, and I will be waiting for you!

If you would like more information on Luna you can call Pauline at 785-3463. There are many sweet dogs like Luna (mixed breeds and purebreds) that need homes. It wasn't too long ago that Luna was the prettiest little bundle of blond puppy fur that someone brought into the world, and now she is homeless. Please don't add another litter; we have a program that can help you be a responsible pet owner and get your dog spayed or neutered. Call Linda at 785-3325 for more information.
