JAMES--January 15, 2007
Hello out there! I would like to introduce myself. I go by the name of James now: that’s the name they gave me here at the Sheriff’s dept. and it’s growing on me. They say I am a hound, German Shepard mix with maybe a touch of lab in there somewhere, and that may be so, but I can tell you what “kind” of dog I really am. I am the kind of dog that loves life, loves to play, loves people, and is happy every day; I have the color of the German Shepard but the hair of a hound, so it’s very easy to care for my coat. I know some commands, like come and sit; I know some others, but I haven’t let on to those yet. You will have to figure those out once you adopt me; kind of like little surprise gifts as we get to know each other. Whoa! Am I jumping the gun here thinking that you are coming to adopt me? Nah, I think you will come; and I won’t disappoint you; I promise I will be a companion you will be proud to be with. I am certainly out of any “puppy” stage so I can get down to the business of learning right away, but I still love to play. Don’t you? You can come see me at the Sheriff’s Dept. or call Pauline at 989-785-3463. Oh, and speaking of he,r she wanted me to tell all the people that already have dogs and might need some help getting them spayed or neutered to please call her; the Elk Country Animal Shelter has a program that can help you get them fixed. And don’t forget your dog license! The clock is ticking.
