community provides food for dogs housed at the Elk Country Animal Shelter.
We
use Pedigree Dog Food and always accept donations. Simply drop off a bag
or two at the Shelter and we'll make sure the boys and girls staying at
the facility receive a meal on you!

Dove
|
Hello! My name is Dove and I’m the last of four little kittens that came to the shelter. All my littermates have been adopted and went to wonderful new homes and I’m the one left behind all by myself. Is it because of my name? With a name like Dove wouldn’t you think I would be white? Oh, but we are talking about the people at the shelter that name us and they are just crazy about chocolate – I’m named after Dove chocolate and I’m just as sweet as can be. Maybe since we got that cleared up I will get a great home and not be lonely anymore.
I’m very friendly, heck I just can’t get enough of people attention, I purr until my purr-er gets hoarse, I’m always making little muffins with my paws and just love everyone. You already know I get along with other cats – up until two days ago I was sharing my room with three others. I don’t think I would mind a dog much as long as the doggie was nice to me and then I think we could be real good friends and play together.
I forgot to tell you that I’m a little girl and I’m already fixed and ready to go – what better way to spend the upcoming Valentine’s day than with a little bit of chocolate filled with lots of love and sweet little kisses – That’s ME! Maybe I’m still here at the shelter because my special someone hasn’t come to get me yet, can you come for me now?
