WILBUR--Pet of the Week August 20, 2007
Hi, my name is Wilbur; they think I’m a German Shepherd mixed with something else that is brindle in color but can’t really figure it out. Maybe some chow in there somewhere, but they don’t really know. That doesn’t matter to me what matters is that I’m a very good boy, I like people and other dogs, and actually that’s what got me into trouble and how I ended up at the Sheriff’s Department. I was minding my own business when this very pretty dog caught my fancy; her name is Jade. It was love at first sight, and I would have followed her to the end of the earth, but before we got there, we were both picked up and brought here. Sadly, they won’t let me be with her, but I still can see her from my kennel; but I now know how girl dogs can get us boys into trouble, so when I go to my new home, I want to get neutered, so I won’t be tempted again. I hope someone comes to visit me to give me a chance at a new life. I am very handsome and smart. My coat is the envy of all the dogs here, even Jade envies my beautiful coat (could be that’s why she was so attracted to me). It’s very soft and silky and the most beautiful color. Oh, I’m pretty young too; only about two years old. I’m as big as I will get, and that’s about the size of a Labrador. I will be waiting for you in kennel number two at the Montmorency County Sheriff's Department; If you want to ask more questions about me you can call Pauline at 989-785-3463. Thank you for reading about me and please remember to spay and neuter your dogs, so they don’t end up like me and Jade! Pauline asks you to call her if you need help getting this done. The Elk Country Animal Shelter can help!
