ADOPTED WITH HIS BROTHER!

traderjoe

My name is Trader Joe, me and my brother “Baby Blue” are staying at the Sheriff’s dept. until we can find a new home, which I’m crossing my paws will be this week. We are both Walker hounds; my brother may be a “baby,” but I like to think of myself as being “young." Once you come to visit, you will see for yourself that I am far better looking than my brother; aww, I’m just kidding--he’s pretty nice looking too.

They said we were strays and brought us here. Our old owner never came to the Sheriff'’s dept. to look for us, so now we are looking for a new guardian that will keep us safe, warm, well fed and give us lots of love. We are really lovers; we like to give kisses and are both very friendly.

At first when we came here, we were both so scared (yes, I’ll admit I was scared) we tried to put on a big front and bark with our biggest deepest barks when anyone came around, but our barks didn’t fool anyone. They treated us nice anyway, and now we can be ourselves, happy, sweet boys that we really are.

We are young and don’t know too much, but Hounds are very smart and can learn things quickly, so it wouldn’t be hard to teach us things. If you would like to visit us, we will be here at the Sheriff’s dept., or you can call Pauline at 989-785-3463. AShe knows us and can tell you all about us. She also wanted me to talk to you about getting your dog fixed (big or little), and if you need help with this, give her a call-- the Elk Country Animal Shelter has a grant that can help. Oh, and before I forget, I would like to give the Tribune a BIG thank you for letting us dogs put our letters and pictures in the paper every week. It has helped many, many dogs find new homes, past, present and future. You are our hero, and we thank you for giving us this chance for a new life.

BIRDY from last week went to National Brittany Rescue!
