Hello Everybody!! Its me, Teddy! I’m an Australian Cattle Dog mix that’s about 4 ½ years old. You gotta recognize me, I’ve been the pet of the week before and I’ve been here at the shelter for quite a while now. To be honest I’m the only dog that has been here since the shelter opened. And actually when I first got here I didn’t have very good manners. I didn’t know how to act around people but I was just really excited to see you so I wanted to show you how excited I was. The people here have spent a lot of time with me since then though. And now I know that the best way to get your attention is to sit down so then you can pet me. I still get a little over excited sometimes but I’m trying really hard to be a good boy and I know that I’ve gotten better because everyone tells me how good I am. It feels really good when they tell me that. Do you know what my favorite sport is? Fetch! And I’m really good at it! It’s by far the best game ever made and I can’t wait until I find a new home with a huge fenced in yard and a friend that will throw a toy for me over and over again because you know I will always bring it right back to you. Moving in here has been great because it’s clean and warm and everybody cares about us sooo much. And I really really appreciate everything the people here do for us but I’m ready to find a home. A home with a family that I get to see every day. That can teach me even more then I have already learned. And I will get a lot of practice at good manners because it feels really good when people notice how good I can be. And most of all, I just want to be loved and show my new family how much I love them. Well you know where to find me.. at the Elk Country Animal Shelter.
