PET OF THE WEEK APRIL 20, 2009

Hello to Everyone! My name is Teddy and I’m an Australian Cattle dog mix. I got my name because they thought I looked like a big fuzzy teddy bear. I absolutely love people and I’m very smart (must be living up to my Cattle dog heritage); I hear them say how very smart those dogs are. They also say how handsome I am – most everyone that passes by me says how beautiful my colors are and how beautiful my coat is. I love to play with people and will chase the ball as many times that you want to throw it; I’m a very happy go lucky dog. Life is good for me but it would be way better if I had a home; don’t get me wrong, I like this place I’m staying at - it’s clean, we get fed well, we get exercise and play but it’s not a “home” and that’s what all of us here are looking for – a home. I get along well with most other dogs, I love to play with Porcha but I would do great as an only dog too, you can shower all your attention on me and I will just be happier than any dog ever. Like they said, I’m very smart and it’s time for me to start learning some things like basic dog lessons so I will be a well behaved dog in my new home and stay in my new home forever; I, along with my new owner have been given a complimentary five week training course thanks to a generous sponsor. If you adopt me all you have to do is pay a small shelter enrollment fee and off to learning we go. The first class starts on Tuesday April 28th, there is still a few openings left for anyone that wants to learn to teach their dog basic obedience. I’m lucky because mine is paid for but for anyone else the course is $80.00 and you can sign up right at the shelter or call Pauline for more information on either me or the class. Have a great week – Spring is here, what better time of year to add a new family member, I’m here waiting just for you! Love, Teddy. |
