PET OF THE WEEK JULY 8, 2008

Hello to Everyone! My name is Talli and as you can guess I need a new home. My story is just like all my friends here at the Sheriffs dept. - out in the world without a leash attached to a person. I have known a dog or two that had leashes but no person and that wasn’t good enough either – we have learned there must be a person on the other end or we get picked up and brought here. Anyway, I would really like to get out of here, it’s getting very crowded, noisy, and I don’t get much attention at all. Not that I demand lots of attention, I just want my share like any other dog and there just isn’t enough of that to go around. I should tell you that I’m a boy dog; they say I am so pretty that I must be a girl but I’m not. I am part Collie and part Golden Retriever (so they say), my coat is very soft and silky, and it bounces when I move around. I love – love - love people and I’m always happy to see anyone and everyone. I’m smart, a good listener and could easily be taught most anything. I am hoping and dreaming that my chance in the newspaper will bring me a new forever home. I don’t want to be locked up here anymore, I really didn’t do anything wrong, I’m a good dog with a very big heart. Look into my eyes when you read this – If you adopt me I promise to always love you, to keep you warm at night, play ball with you whenever you want, go on walks together (don’t forget the leash), watch television together, but most of all to be faithfully your friend and companion for the rest of my life. Sincerely, Talli
