PET OF THE WEEK MARCH 9, 2009--Hey everybody, it’s me, Shade. I’m a Black Labrador mix that still needs a home. I was pet of the week once before and I’m sure you thought a nice dog like me would have surely gotten adopted, well I didn’t and I’m still looking for that special family just for me. I know some basic commands but can learn many more; I’m very smart and I pay attention. I still get excited at first and jump a bit but that urge quickly goes away when I get out of the kennel for a few minutes; then I settle right down into a nice companion. They think I am very pretty, and I’m not real big either, maybe you could call me a medium sized dog. I have very short hair that doesn’t do much to protect me from the cold; I was so hoping spring was right around the corner but instead we got a blizzard so I’m trying to stay in my house to keep warm - it would be much nicer if I was in a real home where I would be warm and loved.
