Pet of the Week--DECEMBER 31, 2007
Happy New Year, everyone! My name is Scout, and this is my second time as Pet of the Week; maybe this time “my” special person sees me. I am a Sheltie Corgie Mix; I look like a Miniature Lassie with short legs-- yep, that pretty much describes my appearance. I am a mix of two working breeds, so I really need a job to do in my new home. I’m not the kind of guy to be content with lying around all day; I need a home that will give me a purpose in life. I need a home where I will be the only dog; I just don’t have any patience with other dogs and really don’t care to share my life with any of them. As you already must know, I am staying at the Sheriff's Department kennel with no job for me to do here except try to keep all the other dogs in line. I really would like to start the New Year out with a warm new home. Even though I don’t much like any of the other dogs here at the kennel, I still wish new homes for them also (must be the Lassie in me showing through). There are many dogs to choose from, but I am by far the most handsome! If you want to start your New Year out right with a faithful friend, come visit the dogs at the kennel. We need you as much as you need one of us. If you would like more information on me or the others, please call Pauline at 989-785-3463. We wish you all a Very Happy New Year and want to thank everyone that has helped the other homeless dogs throughout the year and a BIG special thank you to the Montmorency County Tribune for letting us tell our story every week; many happy tails happened because of this opportunity. Let this time be mine. Thanks Jim and Bill!
