PET OF THE WEEK SEPTEMBER 23, 2008

Hello! I would like to introduce myself – I’m a very sweet part Chow and part…hummm somthin else, maybe Shar Pei. I have a short docked tail and I wag it all the time, I can’t imagine how much extra energy it would take to wag a long tail for all the wagging I do. The guy that takes care of us always says “Rusty is such a nice dog”, I can tell he really likes me and he doesn’t say that about the other dogs, I know because I listen real close. It’s really not a bad place to be, I have made some good friends and it sure beats what I was doing – running up and down the same road for days trying to get into vehicles that would stop, only problem was I would get my front feet in the car and instead of jumping in I would chicken out, until the last time when I had a lead put around my neck and didn’t have a chance to chicken out, well I still did chicken out but didn’t have a choice but to get in. Whew, then I felt pretty silly, I could have done this days ago. Anyway, I don’t mind being here because that’s the kind of dog I am, glad to be wherever I am, but I know there are better places for me, a real home, someone to say “Rusty you are really a good dog and I’m glad to have you in my life”. That is some of my story and if you want to know the rest you have to come meet me in real life, I will be waiting at the Sheriff’s dept. or you can call Pauline at 989-785-3463.
