PET OF THE WEEK DECEMBER 7, 2009
ROY
My name is Roy and I’m the mystery mix at the shelter. The people keep looking at me and cocking their heads from side to side trying to figure out just exactly what kinds of dog I am mixed up with. So far they are saying I have a Golden Retriever head, Brittany colored legs, a Collie body and hair and who knows whose tail I have. My head does look a bit small for my body but once I lose a bit of this extra weight I carry around I will look perfectly put together. I was found hanging out at one of the gas well sites, I knew people came there so I just waited –I was full of porcupine quills, all over my neck, nose, mouth and even my foot. I really couldn’t eat and could only drink very little and very gently, plus I was in so much pain – those quills HURT like crazy. I knew I had to find a person to help me and that kind person finally showed up to rescue me and brought me to the shelter where I got the care I needed. I’m about 5 years old, not real active –need to be a bit more active so I can lose some of this extra weight; I’m quiet, gentle, sweet and already neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped so I’m all set to go to my new home. If you would like to come visit me I would be very happy to see you. You can call the shelter at 989-785-3738 if you want more information on me. |
