RAVEN--Pet of the Week SEPTEMBER 17, 2007

ravenHi everyone, my name is Raven; I’m a fairly young girl, only around a year old. They aren’t really sure what I am made of, but since I am so very black, they think there must be some Labrador somewhere in my family tree, but I’m sure not built like a stocky large-boned Labrador. I have the very girlish figure of a Whippet or maybe even Greyhound. I am very much a girl, no tomboy in this dog! I have lots and lots of energy and could keep up with the most athletic of people. I am very smart along with the biggest heart and devotion to people. I love to play and am most eager to learn. I was a stray out running around when I got picked up and brought to safety; no one came looking for me, so now I am up for adoption and looking for a new family to love me. I did have a very pretty collar, but it didn’t have anything hanging from it except for a beer cap and that sure didn’t help me get returned back home. If you would like to meet me, I will be waiting at the Sheriff’s Department kennel, or you can call Pauline at 989-785-3463 for more information. Please don’t let your dog end up like Raven; make sure they always have some type of identification, like a micro-chip that you can have inserted at one of our clinics or by your veterinarian, a identification hang tag that you can have made while you wait at Wags to Wiskers in Gaylord, and if you can’t provide a tag or micro-chip, at least write your phone number on their collar with a permanent marker until you can provide proper identification.
