Pet of the Week July 23, 2007 --MAX
My name is Max. I’m a German Shepherd Mix; not too sure what the other part of the mix is as I didn’t know my Dad at all. I think he was one of those traveling salesmen and didn’t stick around. I think I’m a real nice guy, older, so you don’t have to worry about any juvenile antics out of me. I’m way beyond that. I want desperately to have a home, a good home, one that will get me neutered, feed me well, make sure I stay home where I belong, and love me like I have never been loved before! My friends here think I’m a pretty handsome guy, and I’m very friendly. I love people and seem to like everything else too. I do need a bath; not that I like them, but a guy knows when a bath is in order. Out of all the dogs here, I have been here the longest. I have seen dogs come and go, but we older guys seem to get passed over for the young dogs. There is a special gift that comes with adopting a senior dog. We never forget the kindness and will love you harder than you have ever been loved before. Don’t miss out on the magic of a senior. I am here waiting, a bit impatient, but nothing I can do about that until you get here. Just hurry up! I’m at the Sheriff’s Department, but if you want more information on me, you can call Pauline at 989-785-3463. Thank you, Max
