MAX

Just in case you missed me the last time I was in the paper, my name is Max, and I’m a senior German Shepherd mix. I’m not as big as a German Shepherd; I would say I am a perfect size for just about anyone. I am too big to be a lap dog but large enough that you won’t trip over me. They think I weigh about forty-five pounds. I am pretty quiet, I don’t waste my time barking and barking when it isn’t needed like some of the other dogs here. I’m old enough to know what’s worth barking at and what isn’t.  I am very laid back and would be a great companion for anyone that needed a friend to relax with or just someone to talk to. I promise I will listen to every word you say and not talk back or argue; isn’t that what best friends should do? I am the last of the seniors that have been here at the kennel. My good friends Midnight and Dudley have both gotten forever homes, and now I hope it will be my turn. They say I really need a fenced yard, maybe because I was trying desperately to find my way back home and will still try until the day I realize my new home will be my very best place to stay, being loved and cared for. It sure won’t take me long to figure out where I always need to lay my head. Please come visit me at the Sheriff’s Department. I’m in kennel #13 or call Pauline at 989-785-3463 for more information.
