MAX--Pet of the Week August 27, 2007

I know you have been wondering about me; did old Max get adopted? You are in luck because I’m still waiting here for you to come get me. Many of the other dogs have come and gone, but I’ve been holding out for the best home of all: Max’s home! I am an older guy but not ancient, maybe around eight years old, getting a bit grey around the muzzle which just makes me look distinguished so they say. I seem to be in good health and don’t have many complaints about life except that I don’t have a guardian to love me and look after me.
I got to go for a walk today, and I do pretty darn well on the leash, felt darn good too, did a few playful moves as it felt good to get away from all the barking , and it was all about Max for a change. I am the quiet type and would be happy as a lark to just lie at your feet while you watch television or read the paper, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t have enough energy to go on long walks or play with you out in the yard. I have plenty of energy for that. Come and get me; I’ll be waiting for you at the Sheriff’s Department, or you can call Pauline 989-785-3463 for more information.
The Elk Country Animal Shelter sent out a special newsletter to all the box holders, but it seems like some may have been missed; if you would like one of these just give Pauline a call and she will make sure you get one.
