Hello! My name is Lacy and I’m a young German Shepherd Mix pup, they think I’m only about 4 to 5 months old. When I first came here they couldn’t believe someone wasn’t out looking for me, I was the cutest big fluff ball of a pup, “soon pretty girl they will come for you” they told me. Certainly someone was missing this beautiful pup I could hear them say to each other. I know I was certainly missing my home and didn’t much like it here with all the big scary dogs that barked at me. Now I know they aren’t scary and were only saying hello, but all of them at once was enough to scare any pup. But here I am, growing like a weed; they can’t believe how big I am getting, I’m going to be a very big girl when I finish growing up and a very pretty one too, my coat is so black and shiny. The people here have been teaching me things like sit and come, I’m catching on pretty quick, and they think I am very smart. I could learn much more if I was at your house without all the distractions of the other dogs. I’m at a great age where I can soak up many things that you want to teach me. I can be most anything; a great friend, an exercise partner, a bed warmer, a vacuum for the crumbs that fall from the kitchen table, a security system, a playmate, a comforter when you are blue - pretty much anything you want me to be. I’m very outgoing and love people and other dogs; I’m certainly not shy or timid about life. I would very much like to leave this place for new home, somewhere warm, somewhere loving – a real home!
