Pet of the Week-- Jenna, July 10, 2006
My name is Jenna. I am a young dog somewhere around a year old. I am very smart and love people. I don’t know why I am here; I was out having a good time minding my own business, sniffing trees and chasing squirrels when I got picked up and brought here to the dog kennel.
It’s not too bad here though. I have made a few new friends, and they have good food, but I don’t much like all these other dogs. Soon as I try to take my afternoon nap, someone will start barking and wake me up, and you know how that works; I never get back to my nap. Just have to put up with this for just a little while longer till my new owner comes to get me.
I’m not a very big dog, maybe only 30-35 lbs, easy wash and wear coat, don’t have to do any detangling with my hair and certainly not any bows.
The people here don’t really know what kind of dog I am, but they are guessing a small shepherd with maybe some pit bull; said it’s hard to tell when dogs are mixed up. I would love to have you visit. I know the right home will come along for me; I am in Kennel #7, and I think I am the prettiest girl on the block.
Please call Pauline at 989-785-3463 for more information or visit the Sheriff's dept. If you have lost a dog or are looking to adopt, please visit the Sheriff's Department kennel; it is full and at maximum capacity. There are several pit bull/mastiff/boxer mixes, beagles, lab mixes, shepherd mixes, all shapes, colors and sizes. Come look; maybe your new best friend is waiting here for you!
Travis, the jail bird has been reunited with his family. A little girl named Chelse, and her Daddy were very happy to get him back home. A BIG thanks goes to Gary Moulton for rescuing the wayward cockatiel and making this reunion possible.
