JAKE

Hi everyone! My name is Jake; I am a very handsome black Labrador retriever. I am all grown up, very healthy with a shiny coat that tells it all. I was picked up for running loose and have been waiting for my owner to come get me, but so far they haven't showed up. I think I have a few more days before someone new can take me, but that's ok; I am pretty patient, and you can still come visit me, and if you decide to take me, I promise I am worth the wait of a couple more days.

I am very smart, happy, fun and would make a great family companion; I love everyone and would be more than happy to fetch tennis balls all summer long with my new family. There are several more black dogs here (but certainly none as handsome as myself), and we have been talking to each other about how easy it would be to get back home if only there was a way to tell someone here who our owners are, like maybe a tag we could hang on our collar that would have our owner's name and number; heck we could go home the very same day. We heard the guy here say, ³"If only they had a dog license, they could go home," but none of us here know what that is, but we know we would like one if it would get us back home.

Visit the Montmorency County Sheriff's Dept. to see Jake and the other dogs or call Pauline at 989-785-3463 for more information. Cat Spay and Neuter Clinic this coming Saturday in Atlanta; low cost vaccinations are also being offered for dogs and cats. Don't miss it!

If you need a dog spayed or neutered and it's 45 pounds or more, The Elk Country Animal Shelter can help you get this don; call Linda at 989-785-3325 or Pauline at 989-785-3463. Visit us at www.elkcountryanimalshelter.org
