Hi everyone, Mr. J. Russell here; you can call me JR for short if you like. I am hanging out at the Sheriff's Dept. because I have no where else to go right now. I am hoping someone will see this and decide they can't live without me. I am a Jack Russell Terrier that will surely make you laugh. I am smart and will live up to my breed.
I can learn to bring you your slippers: heck, I can bring you 20 pairs of slippers in 10 seconds or less if that is what you want. I want a job to do. I will earn my keep if you teach me what you want from me. I am not one of those big lazy dogs that just lounge around and do nothing. I am highly motivated and just need to be pointed in the right direction. I am very young, only about 1 year old, and ended up here because the people that had me didn't keep me home. You see I am like all my cousins; we need to be contained by some sort of fence or leash walked when outside. Don't expect to take me home and turn me loose because I will be off to find you the 20 pairs of slippers in 20 different towns, and who knows where I will end up.
If you lead an active life and want a handsome dude like me to share it with, just come visit and take me home.
We celebrated yesterday because the kennel was opened back up for adoptions, and one of our friends here got a new home; she was a black lab beauty across the way from me. She was so lucky to have been picked by those nice people. I am sure there are more very nice people to come pick the rest of usŠ.me first, me first. I just got to get into a home to warm up. It's been very cold for us lately.
