PET OF THE WEEK OCTOBER 13, 2008

My name is Jerry Lee, they say they named me after a movie star, said I act just like him – and in the end he was a hero dog and I like that a lot. I am a German Shepherd about 6 years young, already neutered, I am a protector that is what German Shepherds do and I’m very good at it, I can act like I’m fierce but really I’m a big marshmallow. I haven’t been here very long but quickly have made some fast friends - the people that work here and some that visit. I have even taught them some of my tricks - just ask me to get my bowl and in a flash it will be at your feet, I can tell you where all the leashes are and that I want to go for a walk, I’m housebroken and will tell you when I need to go out; I can teach you the many things I know if you take the time to listen. I do have some signs of hip problems, sometimes comes with being a German Shepherd. I went to see a doctor and he though it could be managed with some glucosamine which I am getting every day now along with living inside where it’s warm, soft cozy beds, and plenty of love - that should do the trick. When I first came in I was in some pain, maybe from all the running I had done, but I’m feeling pretty good now and would like to have a new home to protect and teach all my tricks to, maybe I could be the hero in your life! If you would like to meet me I am at the Sheriffs dept. or you can call Pauline for more information 989-785-3463.
