HIGGENS
Hi everyone! My name is Higgens; I’m a Beagle and guess what! I got caught running around on my own; heck, I love to run, but I sure didn’t think it would get in this much trouble. I keep waiting for my owner to come get me, and as you can see, I’m still waiting--I don’t think they are coming for me. My friends here said maybe a whole new home would be good for me so that’s why I asked to be in the paper this week. I’m tired of being here; it’s just not a fun place for a dog to be. Even though we can’t complain about our meals, this sure isn’t a “home.” How wonderful it would be to have a real home, one where I would be kept clean and my coat would be soft and shiny; people would like to pet me, rub my ears and belly. My real home would be warm and cozy; I wouldn’t even mind if you didn’t want me on the furniture--a rug at your feet would do me just fine. If you are looking for a new friend, one that will be loyal, I’m the guy for you!
