June 11, 2007 GOODY

GOODYHello Everyone, I have had the pleasure of being in the paper once before but no luck in finding my new home; maybe this time I will. My name is Goody, and if you can’t tell by the picture, I am mostly black Lab. I’m about 3 yrs old, and I like to play and chase tennis balls. I bet you are wondering why a nice looking dog like me hasn’t found a home yet; well, maybe if I tell you a little bit about my past you will understand. I was found tied to the porch of a house where no one lived; no one seems to know if I had lived there and was left behind nor do they know just how long I was tied to that porch--alone. But I can tell you that I felt I had the duty to protect that empty house the same way I protect my kennel; I think that’s why I haven’t been adopted yet. I am very happy and playful once out of my kennel, but I act like a nit wit when in my kennel. With some training, I can be a great dog; after all I am mostly Lab, and that has to count for something. If you have a home for a dog that will be loyal, playful and be a very good watch dog, I am the dog for you.
If you would like more information on Goody, please call Pauline at 989-785-3463 or go visit him at the Sheriff's dept. Don’t forget the Elk Country Animal Shelter monthly meeting is this Wednesday, Lewiston Library at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
