PET OF THE WEEK JUNE 1, 2009
GYPSY
![]() |
I heard them say “we just have too many” as they handed my leash over to the lady at the shelter, “her name is Gypsy”. Yes, I knew that was my name and hearing it always made me wag my tail but this time was different - I knew something was wrong and I was too afraid to wag my tail. I sure didn’t know what to expect at this new place so I was pretty nervous but soon I found comfort in hearing the soothing voices that kept saying “it’s ok Gypsy, we will take good care of you until we find you a new home”. The food is good, it’s comes regular and is very tasty! I got a pretty pink collar that holds all my jingle tags; my tags make me feel like I’m important, important enough to these people to get tags on my collar. They told me once I got fixed and recovered enough then it would be time to find me a new home and that time has come. I feel real good now, I run and play, like to play with toys, I’m very happy to be around people and try to be very gentle and sweet. I have tried some of my best moves at the shelter, pressing my head and body up against the gate, looking up with the saddest eyes I can muster - right into the eyes of anyone that stops at my kennel. I keep my kennel very clean and tidy, I don’t ever go potty in here, sometimes it hard to hold it all night until the shelter people show up but I manage. They always tell me I’m a good girl. Everyone here loves me and wants me to have the best home ever! Maybe you could come meet me; I’m a medium size girl that would fit nicely in any size home. I’m part Shar pei and something else, I’m very pretty and my coat is very soft and easy to care for. You can visit me at the shelter on M-32 and Youngs road or call the shelter for more information 989-785-3738. Someone here is always happy to talk about any of us! |
