Pet of the Week--February 19, 2007
Hi everyone! My name is Goody; I got this name not only because I am good but mostly because everything that comes my way is my “goody, goody, goody” attitude. I love to play; I am happy, friendly and have the energy to keep up with the most active family. I am part Labrador, maybe part flat coat retriever because my hair is a little longer and silkier than a Labrador. They say it’s way too cold for a bath for a dog that is living outside, but if you adopted me and brought me indoors, I could have a bath, and you will see that I have the most beautiful coat and it’s as black as black comes; when my hair is clean it will bounce with every step. I can play ball all day long, we can have so much fun together, but I don’t just do fun. I know I also have a job to , and that is to protect my home. I am a good watch dog, and right now, my kennel is my home so anyone that comes around to visit will see me go into my watch dog duty (and I am very good at it), but open the kennel and out I come: Goody, Goody, Goody, it’s time to play. If you are looking for a great dog, full of fun, love for people and other dogs and can still protect your home and family, I am I dog for the job! Come visit me at Montmorency County Sheriff's Dept. or call Pauline at 989-785-3463 for more information. Don’t forget time is running out for getting your 2007 dog license on time; in March the fee will double.
Need to get your cat fixed? The Elk Country Animal Shelter is having two upcoming cat clinics, March 17th in Lewiston and March 31st in Hillman. Call Maggie at 989-786-5139
