ELLA

ella
Hello! A very nice couple found me wandering around with a face full of porcupine quills; they were very worried about me so they brought me to the shelter where I would be safe and tended to. I quickly got the name of Ella but sometimes they call me squeaks or squeaker, guess it’s because I sometimes sound like a little squeaker toy instead of a deep bark. I use my squeak bark most of the time but when I really need to send out an “I really mean it” bark – it’s a real bark not a squeak. I use the real bark when I really need to send out an alarm like when someone strange pulls up or if someone knocked on your door; I certainly wouldn’t tell you with a squeak – I’m no dummy! They are thinking I’m part Collie but who knows, I do kinda have a Collie face and I think my squeak comes from a Collie but the rest of me….well that’s yet to be determined – or maybe not. I’m a reddish chocolate brown with tan markings and my tail is short bushy and tan; it doesn’t look like it belongs to me - sometimes when I go to chase my tails I look back there but then have to think “is that really MY tail” and that sure takes the fun out it, it’s so short I wouldn’t be able to catch it anyway. I’m a very nice girl, I have manners and don’t jump on anyone, I walk nice on a leash, I’m quiet and patient and I’m a great size for just about anyone. I love to play but I would also love to lie next to you and relax too. A great companion for anyone, younger or older; I can go for runs or I can quietly watch TV, I will do what you want to do and love doing it. My big wish everyday is that someone will come for me and give me a good home, someone that will always make sure I’m safe and not let me wander anymore and love me more than I have ever been loved before. I have heard of those kinds of homes from some of the boarding dogs that come to visit the shelter and that’s the kind of home I want for me too. I am now spayed and free from quills, have my shots and micro chipped so I’m ready to go to that very special home I can call my own. Please come visit me at the shelter or call if you need more information or directions – 989-785-3738.
