Good Morning! My name is Duce and I’m a Black and Tan Coonhound Mix, maybe with a little German Shepherd or Labrador..who knows – only my Mama would know for sure. Anyway that doesn’t matter much anymore but what does matter is that I am looking for a new home. I have lived here for a while now and quite frankly I’m getting tired of living at the shelter, it’s getting too crowded with all the other dogs here. When I first came in I was very afraid and shy but they have worked with me and now I have figured out there are people that are nice to dogs and I don’t need to be afraid anymore. I like to play with the other dogs and I’m gentle with people, I don’t jump up on anyone – for a young dog like me that’s quite an accomplishment. I still would like to have lots of loving wherever I go, so the more hands in the house to pet me the better. I don’t know lots of commands but I’m smart and willing to learn - I’m only around a year old so you would have plenty of time to teach me and I would love to learn. If you want another love in your life I sure could be the one for you. Why don’t you come and visit me at the shelter – who knows, maybe we will fall in love with each other; and if for some reason we don’t click there are many others to choose from, the shelter is full of great dogs that need homes. Remember all of us dogs are already spayed or neutered before we get adopted and we have all our shots and come with 30 days free pet health insurance.
