dogPET OF THE WEEK--NOV. 4, 2007--CONNIE!

Hello, my name is Connie, and I’m a friend of Louis’s; he told me I would have a good chance of getting adopted if I was lucky enough to be Pet of the Week; he said I’m beautiful, and if people could just see me, that would be all it would take to find me my forever home. I’m here to give it a try; I look very much like Louis except I have perkier ears and definitely more feminine than he is although I’m as tall or taller than him. I love people and get along very well with other dogs (just ask Louis). I am very smart and learn quickly, I would fit into most households, and with a little on the job training, I would be willing to do many jobs, like getting your slippers, watching for strangers, keeping squirrels out of your birdfeeders (I really don’t need much training for that job as it comes natural for me), keeping your feet warm or just plain keeping you from getting too lonely. I would like to invite you to come visit the kennel at the Sheriff’s Department to meet me and my many friends. If I’m not the dog for you, maybe one of them would be-- some are young, and there are a few quiet laid back seniors to choose from. Even if you don’t adopt one of us, we still enjoy the company. You know where we are, but if you want more information, please call Pauline at 989-785-3463. She would be glad to tell you more about us. If you have a dog that needs to be spayed or neutered and you need some financial help getting that done, give Pauline a call. The Elk Country Animal Shelter can help you get that done.
