PET OF THE WEEK--MARCH 10, 2008
Good Morning! My name is Connie. I have been in the paper before, and yes, I’m still here and I can’t understand why, I’m smart, pretty and I like everyone. After months and months of being here and not being picked I’m starting to believe there isn’t a home for me out there. But, the people here keep telling me “be patient Connie, your special home will come soon”. Sometimes I don’t even come out of my house, why bother, they aren’t here for me anyway. That’s when they tell me “come out, meet the people, show them what you got”. It’s just that when it’s so cold and I get out of my warm bed to say Hi to someone and they just pass me by, what I end up with is a cold bed and someone else gets the new home. But I will try real, real hard to meet everyone that comes to the kennel. I will put my best paw forward and it doesn’t matter which paw because all of mine are “best”. I’m a German Shepherd Lab Mix; I really do like everyone and if I had a home I would sure do my job and watch out for my family too, I’m no marshmallow - a good balance. I like to exercise too, so if you need a companion for your jogging, hiking or just plain walking I could be your personal trainer; spring is right around the corner and I can help you get in shape.
