BOOMER
Hello to everyone! My name is Boomer; I’m a Black Labrador Retriever with a slightly graying muzzle, which I like to refer to as distinguished. Don’t let that fool you on my age. I’m only about 5 yrs. old; some of us black dogs start to get that distinguished look at a very early age, and I’m one of them. I am very shiny black and getting a bit chubby, lots of good food and not enough exercise, which happens to many of us over the winter months, but I am ready to burn it off! Me and my friend Vinny – they say I could be his dad since we look so much alike (except for the grey), anyway, we take turns watching each other make laps around the snow bank in the middle of the kennel yard. We can race so fast it makes everyone laugh! I may be distinguished, but I think I out-lapped chubby Vinny on several occasions. We still like to have fun and be happy no matter where we are. But I can tell you without a doubt that I would be much happier living with a great family. Give me jobs, give me kids, give me other dogs, give me LOVE ,and I will be the most happiest dog ever! Just in case you don’t know – Labrador Retrievers are GREAT dogs. Me and Vinny are both good examples of how great of dogs we are. Come and meet me at the Sheriff's department, talk to me in baby talk, and I will tell you tales from sun up to sun down. I love to talk too!
