PET OF THE WEEK AUGUST 17, 2009

Hello Everyone! My name is Nexy and I’m a lady Border Collie mix but I look and act very much like a Border Collie, I’m black and white with all the smarts of a Border Collie. I’m living here at the animal shelter with my one year old son named Bear; we were brought here because our owners lost their home and couldn’t find a place that would let them keep us. I love people of all ages and I’ve taught Bear to be patient and trusting of all people, big and small. We are both very friendly, energetic, smart and not to mention very pretty. Like me, Bear is also black and white but mostly black and his hair is pretty curly, don’t know where he got the curls from (must have been from his father’s side) but both of us have hair that is soft and silky, the kind that bounces when we move. We like to run and play with each other and don’t have a problem having fun with other dogs either - it would be nice to find a forever home that would take us both as we would miss each other very much; if that’s not possible and we each have to go our separate ways to a great new life then we will just have to deal with that and move on but we will never forget each other, ever. I am very proud of my son Bear, even though he is just a year old he has grown bigger than me and is such a nice boy, he is so very patient with kids and so trusting of people. I’m good with kids too but when I get excited I have to tell you all about it, Bear has more quiet excitement. We are both good watch dogs and will let you know if anyone comes around so you won’t have to worry about anyone sneaking up on you without you knowing about it, we are very watchful and have super hearing. I almost forgot the most important things of all, we are loving and dedicated to our people, we are both the kind of dogs that are paying attention to whoever has us, quick to learn and capable of learning many things. We LOVE jobs - teach us what you want and we will do them and do them fast, that’s what Border Collies are all about. Come meet us at the Elk Country Animal Shelter in Atlanta, we will be waiting patiently for our new family. Oh, we are already spayed and neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated and come with 30 days free pet health insurance. Thank you xxoo Nexy
